Terms and Conditions

Pricing

All prices on this site and in Australian dollars. Prices include GST where marked. A tax invoice will be issued on successful enrolment or purchase.

Fees

Fees for courses are for tuition only and do not unless expressly stated, include the cost of government charges and taxes including any Goods and Services Tax, consumables and other costs such as textbooks and manuals or other incidental costs. The availability of courses and services may change from time-to-time.

Discounts

In any enrolment period, it may be necessary to discount course fees to promote a course and/or to encourage enrolment in that course. This may be done by written offers distributed through the College marketing activities. Offers may also be made verbally through the College customer service centre. Discounts cannot be applied retrospectively.

Taxes

You are responsible for any taxes, duties or other liabilities imposed by any governmental agency, including without limitation, any customs duty, goods and services taxes or any value-added tax imposed on any courses or services acquired or ordered by you from this website.

Advertised dates and times

The advertised dates and times of courses may change without warning. If this is the case, all reasonable attempts will be made to contact you via SMS, email and telephone contact, however, confirmation of starting time and venue remains the responsibility of the student.

Cancellations

You agree to be bound by the following Cancellation, Refunds and Transfer policies and Sydney Community College’s liability is limited as expressed in the Policy and these Terms and

General conditions

Our courses require a minimum number of students to proceed. The College will send a courtesy reminder email to confirm the course is proceeding one day poor to the advertised class date Should the class be cancelled or postponed, an email and SMS will be sent two days before the start date in most but not all cases. If you do not receive the courtesy email or SMS confirmation the day before the start date it is your responsibility to contact the College to confirm the course is proceeding. Students may also log in to their timetable from the front page of the College website. In the event the course is cancelled by the College due to low enrolments, the course fee will be refunded to the students. Please allow up to 10 working days for the refund to be processed.

Enrolments

Enrolments in our courses are not transferrable to another person.
Please note that changes to students work commitments or personal circumstances outside of the above conditions will not be considered as grounds for a transfer.

Privacy policy

This site uses TLS certificates to protect your privacy and security. It is regularly audited to ensure it complies with the credit card industry PCI standards. The site may store cookies in your browser and your browsing details may be anonymously stored to assist with website analytics.

The College adheres to the thirteen Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) issued by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). The APPs replace the National Privacy Principles previously maintained by the College. The College also adheres to the National Standards for Disability Services in keeping the personal information of those who access its Inclusive Community Education Programme (ICEP) secure and confidential.

Keeping information secure is a priority for the College. The College respects the privacy of both its students and its staff. Information provided by individuals to the College is to facilitate access to (including enrolment) and participation in the Colleges education and training courses. The College takes all steps to ensure that the personal details of its students and staff are not released to un-authorised persons or organisations and personal information received by the College is kept secure in appropriate filing systems and record repositories before ultimate destruction of the records.

If you have an urgent concern that the personal information collected by the College is incorrect and/or is not properly secure please notify the Principal at principal@scc.nsw.edu.au

Privacy and collection and supply of statistics

The Australian Government requests from the College certain encoded student information for statistical research purposes to be supplied to the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER). Except for the NCVER, no personal details identifying individuals is requested or will be divulged.

All information collected through the ICEP is confidential. Data is supplied to Government agencies through standard reporting and accountability requirements and is anonymous

Privacy and College marketing

The College will from time-to-time, send mail and email to students and past students for marketing. Students may at any time request that all such marketing cease. All requests will be promptly complied with. The College will from time-to-time contact students by other means such as post and telephone for College-related marketing activities. Students who request so will be removed from any marketing lists.

No personal information is ever or will ever be disclosed to un-authorised persons or organisations.

Secondary Marketing

The College does not allow for the use of student information for any secondary marketing not related to the College.
