Enrolment withdrawal

If a student chooses to withdraw their enrolment in a class, the following policy applies:

  • If a student withdraws more than 5 business days prior to the start of the class, they may transfer to the next scheduled class dates at no cost or choose to receive a refund, in the case of a refund students will be charged a $50 withdrawal fee.
  • If a student withdraws after the class begins, they are not entitled to any transfer or refund.
  • If a student withdraws from a course after materials have been purchased, they will be charged for the cost of the materials. Please note that material costs may vary depending on the course.

Enrolment transfer

  • In cases where a student is unable to attend a class due to short-term illness or injury, they may transfer to the equivalent sessions on the next scheduled dates for this course provided the course is not full.
  • Students will be charged a $25 transfer of enrolment fee to make this change and students must provide evidence of their illness or injury to be eligible for this transfer.
  • In cases where a student is unable to attend part of a course due to short-term illness or injury, they may transfer to the equivalent sessions on the next scheduled dates for this course provided the course is not full.
  • Students will be charged a $25 transfer of enrolment fee to make this change and students must provide evidence of their illness or injury to be eligible for this transfer.

For enrolments made on and before 20 April 2023:

Always choose your course carefully and read the terms and conditions associated with your enrolment.
Should you choose to withdraw your enrolment:

  • You must provide at least five working days' notice prior to the commencement of the first session of the course
  • A $25 administration fee will be charged for processing a refund
  • Where materials have been purchased as part of the enrolment fee, no refund or credit will be provided by the College
  • You must complete the enrolment withdrawal-credit-transfer-refund application form
  • Important note: Changes to students’ work commitments or personal circumstances (including misadventure) outside of the above conditions will not be considered as grounds for a refund.

Where you elect to withdraw from a course where the circumstances fall outside the five working days' notice outlined above, the College may give consideration (depending on the circumstances) to credit your enrolment fee for the purpose of enrolling in a future course at the College. Enrolment credits are subject to the terms and conditions set by the College.

This policy is subject to change at any time at the discretion of the College. Policy last reviewed: June 29 2023
