Course description

Maintain and build on your Indonesian language skills in Sydney with this continuer’s class.

Whether you are learning Indonesian language for work, family, travel or just for fun, you’ll take your skills to the next level with this informal, practical and interactive course in the Sydney CBD.

This continuers course will consolidate what you have learned and help you further expand your vocabulary, grammar and understanding of Bahasa Indonesian. The course provides new situational topics to give you a wider vocabulary and plenty of speaking and listening practice.

Ideal for

Students who have completed approximately 100 hours of previous learning in Indonesian (for example, up to Level 5 with this college, or similar), who want to continue developing their Indonesian language skills in a friendly, small group environment.

Learning objectives

During the course of this Indonesian class you will:

  • continue developing conversational skills to use in everyday situations at work and home
  • build vocabulary and grammar through basic reading and writing tasks and grammar exercises
  • develop your techniques and skills for exchanging views and solving problems using Indonesian conversational etiquette
  • learn to speak with more confidence, better pronunciation and extended vocabulary
  • gain an expanded understanding of Indonesia, its culture and customs
  • participate in at least one off-campus class in a local Indonesian restaurant
  • meet some wonderful people and have lots of fun.
Textbook

We will be going through the last two chapters of Keren Book 2 Course Book, and continue working through A Student’s Guide to Indonesian Grammar. It is not necessary for new students to purchase these texts prior to joining the class
