Thinking of learning Indonesian? Then this beginners course is the right course for you!

You will learn how to communicate in Indonesian with simple vocabulary and basic sentences while exploring the Indonesian culture.

All four basic language skills (speaking, reading, listening and writing) will be covered and practised so you can become a well-rounded speaker of the Indonesian language.

At the end of this course, you will be able to hold a simple conversation in Indonesian with confidence.

Please note that we currently offer two types of courses – class room and live online via zoom platform!


By the end of this course, you will have learned how to:

  • greet people and farewell them appropriately
  • describe yourself and others (age, nationality, gender, family members, daily routines, physical traits and personality, etc)
  • tell the time
  • express some likes and dislikes, especially about food
  • invite others and accept/decline invitations
  • ask simple questions (to find out who, what, where, how many, what time, etc)
  • order food and drinks
  • make simple arrangements
  • identify some common transport, food, places, family members, animals and animal noises/actions
  • talk about actions in the past and present
  • recognise and use numbers up to 1 million
  • follow some directions to do physical actions
  • begin to understand how affixes work in the language
  • begin to master common colloquial or slang expressions
