This is not a formal teaching course, but an informal sewing circle hosted by an experienced facilitator who can offer light guidance when needed. Whether you’re a patchwork enthusiast, a dressmaker, or just someone with a mending pile, this is your chance to stitch, socialise and share.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this sit and sew class, you should be able to:

Work independently on your chosen sewing or textile project

Course content

Each session will include:

A short welcome and orientation by the facilitator
Self-directed time for working on your own sewing project

What to bring

Your own sewing project (fabric, tools, threads, patterns etc.)
Any portable sewing equipment you regularly use (machine optional)

Who is this class for?

This class is ideal for anyone who enjoys sewing and wants the motivation and joy of doing it in the company of others. Suitable for confident beginners through to experienced makers. There is no formal teaching or structured curriculum.
