In this course, you’ll expand your vocabulary, strengthen your grammar, and begin expressing yourself in more detail across a wider range of everyday situations. You’ll move from simple phrases to more complete conversations, gaining confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Whether you’re preparing for travel, reconnecting with the language, or learning for personal or professional development, this course will help you communicate more naturally and with greater ease.

During the course, participants will be guided through key concepts, techniques and approaches that typically include:

• Work and everyday situations
• Leisure activities such as restaurants, cinema and culture
• Health and basic needs

Grammar concepts may include:

• Regular verb conjugations (-er, -ir, -re) in the present tense
• Introduction to future expressions using aller
• Key verbs such as avoir, aller, venir and prendre
• Sentence structure and word order
• Negation and basic question forms
• Gender and agreement
• Prepositions and common expressions

To enrol in this course, it is recommended that you:

• Have completed our Beginner French course or have equivalent proficiency

Students who attend at least 80% of classes will receive a Certificate of Attendance from Sydney Community College.
