Learn the basic skills of Upholstery, and more, with our DIY Woodwork courses in Sydney.

Would you like to refurbish your own items of furniture and learn to live more sustainably? Do you want to save money by repairing your own furniture items?

This three-hour hands-on workshop could be for you.

In our Introduction to Upholstery workshop, you will learn upholstery basics and upholster a flat surface yourself with guidance from workshop facilitators.

By the end of the workshop, you will have a milk-crate upholstered seat base and the knowledge to undertake basic upholstery projects of your own (e.g. refurbishing dining chair seats or a bedhead).

  • said: Holly and I really enjoyed the afternoon. Annette was lovely and very helpful. We highly would recommend the course, 5 stars all the way

  • said: Loved this, wish you had an option to do a longer course to cover more such as a full chair upholstery. Teacher was great.

  • said: 5 stars!

  • said: Overall, it was a good afternoon and I will definitely be using my skills from the course on a specific project (and why I chose this course). The tutor Was great and with finishing early she offered to help show us other techniques specific to our own project. I was waiting outside for a while (front of the building) as the building was locked). I missed the email about entering via the back door. It would be good for future students if you repeat this information in your reminders. Very happy. Rebecca.

  • said: 1. Because there were only 8 of us there was plenty of space and the tutor was able to give plenty of individual attention. 2. All the materials needed were supplied. 3. I went home with a finished article.
