Learn how to make your own organic soap in Sydney with our DIY courses in Sydney.

This hands-on course will teach you the basics of Melt & Pour and Cold process soaps. You’ll make and take home around 2.5kg of gently cleansing handmade soap.

You’ll make 3 batches of different Cold Process formulations, using a variety of natural oils, butter and milk, decorated with a choice of colourful micas or clays, and scented with essential or fragrance oils. We’ll discuss different techniques to make & decorate soaps, how to create our own formulations, and where to buy ingredients & equipment.

Course testimonials:

  • said: Wonderful course run by Shirlee. The course was very hands on, informative and enjoyable. We were given the opportunity to make a variety of soaps and to learn many soap making techniques and methods with plenty of time due to the fact that the course was run over 2 weeks. Shirlee is very knowledgeable and she made the class a lot of fun. Highly recommended and thoroughly worth it!

  • said: The Tutor was very friendly & helpful. The notes were a bit confusing to follow. I feel like the basics in regards to formulas could have been explained a bit better to start with. After the 3rd go it made more sense. The set up was good and very organized. I suggest there should be a second microwave available for melting as the queue with just one really slowed things down.

  • said: the experience of making soaps was fantastic
