You’ll explore the basics of candle making, including safety tips, wax types, fragrance blending, and decorating techniques – all with a delightful Christmas twist. This workshop offers a mindful escape from the holiday rush, allowing you to reconnect with yourself, soothe the soul, and rediscover the magic of the season.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this Christmas Candle Making Workshop, you should be able to:
- Understand the fundamentals of candle making
- Use tools and materials with confidence
- Blend seasonal fragrances and colours to personalise your creations
- Craft a set of festive candles to take home or gift to others
By the end of this workshop, you will make:
- Two festive container candles
- One soy melt
- One beeswax candle (with the option to substitute soy wax for a vegan-friendly version)

Course materials
All necessary materials are included in the course fee, including:
- Glass candle jars
- Candle moulds
- Cotton wicks
- Wick holders & stickers
- Stirring sticks
- Measuring cups
- Beeswax sheet (or vegan alternative)
- Fragrance oils & colour pigments to create your unique candles
- Handouts to guide your future candle making at home
What to bring to class
- Pen and notepad
- A bag to carry your creations
- An apron (if possible) to protect your clothes
- Dress comfortably and wear clothes and shoes you don't mind getting wax on
