My teaching style -
One of the reasons that I enjoy teaching is my personality. As an extrovert person, I like to meet people from different backgrounds; at the same time, I am fond of being a bridge to introduce the history, culture and custom of China to my students and let people know more about the country by means of teaching.
In my teaching, I normally tailor the class to the requirements and level of the students. I encourage them to speak and communicate. I also use a variety of teaching activities, such as listening to tapes, watching videos and using an overhead projector in the class. From time to time, I have taken my students to Chinese restaurants to practice what they have learned from the class. I am a helpful person, and I am happy to help my students with any questions regarding Mandarin studies. My students' enjoyment of learning Mandarin and knowing more about China makes me feel happy.
Something unique or unusual that people might not know about me -
I am from Beijing and I had more than 3 years teaching experience in China. I love the history and culture of China, which I often introduce to the students in class.
