Veronica Strangio
Over the course of her career, Veronica has had numerous opportunities to develop varied and transferable skills to assist clients within her current work as Director of Mind Health First. She worked as a Research Scientist, an Employment Consultant, a Youth Teacher for disengaged youth as well as a Trainer and Assessor within the disabilities sector.
For the last few years, Veronica has been helping people become more aware of the underlying psychological issues that may be preventing them from managing mental illness or having the life they want. She conducts psychosocial recovery coaching to clients on the NDIS and delivers both Standard and Youth Mental Health First Aid courses.
Since starting Mind Health First, the most rewarding aspect of her work has been hearing the difference she’s made to the lives of her clients followed closely by the opportunity to present public talks to various groups about mental health. In 2019 she was a panel member for a seminar run by the Global Youth Mental Health Awareness in Melbourne and had the privilege of speaking in front of the Minister for Health as well as dedicated community-based businesses and individuals.
Her qualifications include BSc (Biochemistry), Dip. Clinical Resource Psychotherapy, Dip Clinical Hypnotherapy and is a qualified Mental Health First Aid Facilitator. She is currently completing her Graduate Diploma in Trauma-Informed Processork Psychotherapy and is a member of the International Coaching Federation, the International Institute for Complementary Therapists and the Holistic Healers and Counsellors Association in Australia.
