David Crisante

David Crisante

David is a communications specialist who helps individuals and organisations to be more influential and confident. He has more than a decade of experience working with politicians, celebrities, diplomats, and subject matter experts to improve their public speaking and relationship-building skills. His corporate clients include Atlassian, Canva, Ikea and many others.

David is the founder of the Sydney Comedy School, a communications organisation that harnesses his experience in journalism, politics, diplomacy and storytelling. His workshops focus on five key elements of communication: clarity, connection, charisma, confidence, and comfort.

David is the MC and producer of more than a dozen comedy, science and dating events in Sydney each month, including a government-funded science comedy show that involves training scientists and technical experts in how to connect with, and win over a crowd. His shows have featured in numerous festivals including the Sydney Comedy Festival and Sydney Fringe Festival.

David’s diverse background includes working at the ABC and SBS as a journalist, a stint at Federal Parliament as a speechwriter, and five years in international diplomacy working on negotiations and crisis responses. He has lived in Japan and Italy, where he taught cross-cultural communication skills to those of non-English speaking backgrounds.
