Steve Stasch

Steve Stasch

My name is Steve Stasch and I have been teaching English as a second language for over 15 years and still enjoy it just as much now as I did when I started! As a speaker of German and a student of Chinese, I know how challenging learning a second language can be, but I also know that language learning can be a lot of fun and extremely rewarding!

One of the things that I enjoy most about being an English teacher is watching my students progress in their ability to communicate more fluently and naturally. I also appreciate that every student makes progress at a different rate and this means that I need to pay attention to each student’s individual learning needs and goals. According to research in second language acquisition as well as from my experience as a teacher, one of the secrets of success to learning a different language is motivation. A lot of this motivation comes from you as a learner. However, one of my roles as a teacher is to motivate each student I work with by building on what you already know and adding something new in every lesson.

My teaching style is very interactive and communicative, and this means there will be plenty of opportunities for you to practice what you learn, both in and out of the classroom. I look forward to meeting you in either in person or on screen, and working with you to help you reach your English language goals!
