Muhammad Aulia
As an intercultural educator, Aulia has been aware of the close relationship between Indonesian and Australian cultures in many aspects. He recognises such as strong bond from in both literatures and social lives. Aulia started his education in Deakin University in 2009 (MTESOL) and found tremendous cooperations between people to people and university to university partnerships in languages education. It can be seen from the Young Alumni of the Year Awarded from Deakin University to Aulia after he contributed to educational work in Indonesia.
Aulia have witnessed and experienced himself numerous Australian people converse proficiently in Bahasa Indonesia for multiple purposes including business, tourism, politics, education and so forth. Personally, Aulia was one of the recipients of Australian Award Scholarship in 2014 and graduated from University of Technology Sydney (UTS), International Studies (MA Res) in 2017. He took a deep study about communication strategies of Bahasa Indonesia and English at universities in Indonesia. He was also certified with BIPA Program at university level so that he is confident with teaching Bahasa Indonesia.
As a life-long learner and currently a PhD student at Macquarie University, Aulia strongly believes that learning foreign languages is not only concerned with language mastery, but also broadening our mind to step out from our comfort zones and to look at others' ways of seeing the world.
