About your tutor
In 1996 with teenagers and a small family business in roadworks I took the time to gain my accounting degree. In the final year of my study our business grew and I got hands on experience in a real life situation, complete with staff, suppliers and bigger numbers I’d ever seen in my life! Our first venture many years earlier had been a dismal failure and it took a while to get to “yes” again. The learning curve was steep and my admin background and accounting knowledge was the perfect blend to get functional systems in place to run a business, a household and life as well! In 2006 I formalised my post graduate studies and attained CPA (Certified Practicing Accountant) status.
I have now been part of three start up businesses in earth moving, roadworks and my own life coaching business. In addition to my own businesses I’ve helped start ups and established businesses in IT, building, and service-based industries. I use my accounting and organisation skills to help small businesses stay on track in the running of the business.
Outside of my business I live life as a full time housesitter in the Sydney area. I’m an active Toastmasters member having achieved Distinguished Toastmasters status and currently working on a leadership project that will see a full day workshop The Ultimate Sound and Video Workshop for Toastmasters.
My passion is to help people simplify what they do and how they do it so they can enjoy life & the rewards of their business or career. This includes getting finances sorted and putting systems in place. I look forward to passing on my experience to help new starters in business.
