Keri Hogarth
Keri has been practicing Hatha Yoga for more than 20 years and has recently completed an extensive 12 month IYTA Yoga Teaching Training certification. This included 350 hours of course content including yoga philosophy, breathing, asanas, meditation and relaxation.
She has been a Naturopath for this same period, and is passionate about integrating her holistic knowledge into yoga instruction. This includes adding postures in her classes that relieve back aches, indigestion, breathing problems and stress.
Keri has suffered injuries during her own yoga practice, and is focused on supporting her students with a safe, gentle form of Hatha Yoga practice. This includes the importance of breath with movement, correct alignment and holding postures in comfort not in pain!!
Her motto is ‘no pain, no pain’. She clearly understands how injuries and illness can impact a person’s health. Keri encourages students to move within their own range of expectations teaching the importance of acknowledging your own physical and mental limitations.
Keri is armed with the skills to teach Yoga holistically with a therapeutic focus providing a safe, adaptive class designed for mid-life yoga and beginners with inflexible, stiff bodies. Her classes are adaptive, simple, safe and restful. Keri’s teaching style is friendly, open, warm-hearted and welcoming.
