Teaching Style
Ahn designs her lesson plans for learners to help develop Korean communication skills with relative ease and to have a better understanding of the Korean language through learning the Korean alphabet, basic grammatical structure and vocabulary necessary in daily conversation. Ahn also provides useful information on the Korean culture, which will touch on language and everyday life in Korea. Students will be taught using controlled conversational drills, basic reading and writing practice, with a variety of activities including role play, songs, games, with both computer and multi-media materials. Instruction will be given in both Korean and English.
Something Unique
Ahn collects students' expectations of learning Korean language in her first lesson, and is trying to incorporate her lesson plans in order to meet their demands. Thanks to her various experiences of teaching foreign students both in Korea and in Australia, she will also provide useful information about traveling, settling or working in Korea, while teaching how to learn a foreign language with relative ease at the same time. She always tries to incorporate fun into her lessons wherever possible, and want learners to have learned something when they leave her class.
