When and how I got started with jewellery
2000, originally making jewellery. In 2005 completed a glass blowing course through Sydney University's Continuing Ed Program. This was followed by lampworking course through Kuringai Council's Arts Program. In 2007 and 2018 I completed a lampworking course in Venice on Murano Island. I've also completed a course on glass slumping and fusing.
My achievements
I’m involved with the annual Arcadian Artists Weekend, held on the second weekend in November. The positive feedback I get from my clients.
Experiences I made in the jewellery field
Apart from making my own beads, I also work with antique Venetian Glass beads and combining the two has enabled me to make unique Jewellery.
My goal for the future
To keep making lampworked beads.
In three words: I am...
“prepared to experiment”
Teaching style
Teach the basic skills, but allow the students to experiment with the flame, the glass rods and other materials
My inspiration
The Venetians
Something unique
Every bead is unique.
