Phone Settings
- Setting up your phone for photography
- iPhone camera functions – focus, metering, autofocus, & exposure
- Manual and auto modes of shooting
- Understanding digital zoom, optical zoom & macro mode
- Flash functionality -when and when not to use flash
- iPhone camera operations – timer, burst, video, slo-mo, time lapse & panorama
Image
- Photo shape / aspect ratio
- Using Portrait Mode properly
- Applying Portrait Lighting effectively
- Volume of light - light quality & quantity
- Shooting in high quality light / low quality light
Composition & Shooting
- Multiple practical sessions
- Shutter release variations
- Framing up your shots
- Selecting subject matter and how to capture it
Editing
- The editing functions (exposure, brightness)
- Applying the brilliance saturation, temperature, exposure, & contrast etc. sliders
- Making your images sharp and clear - sharpness & definition
Intended audience
Who is this iPhone photography course for?
This course is for absolute beginners and is only suitable for iPhone users, so doesn't apply to Android users. The course is best utilised for the iPhone 10 model onwards but can be applied to any iPhone.
