Join this hands-on workshop to learn the basics of concrete making. It’ll open up a whole world of possibilities to create jewellery, furniture and other homewares.
You’ll learn how to make concrete planters from scratch, to suit any plant and add creative green elements to your home or workspace. Using contemporary styles such as the marble effect, you’ll also learn how to decorate a pre-made planter to take home as well.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this fun concrete planter workshop, you should be able to:
- Recall the principles of concrete making
- Practised different decorating effects
- Bring home three concrete planters: two that you have made yourself and one pre-made pot that you have decorated.

What will be covered in this concrete planter workshop?
- Step-by-step instruction on how to mix concrete from scratch
- Moulds and their usage
- Colouring and decorating effects including marble effect
- How to apply these skills to other crafts such as jewellery, homewares and furniture making
