Teaching style
My teaching style is very much about giving lots of information so students can make better investing decisions in their lives. I provide an outline handout with plenty of additional material. Some of my courses have their own specific checklist. I require my students to also write their own understanding down as they go.
I love teaching as I advocate self-learning as a great way to build confidence in investing and encourage all students to ask questions along the way. I try to explain concepts by giving as real an example as possible. I’m also a great believer that we fully learn once we can teach someone else the same. So, for me personally, the learning is in the teaching.
Usually, I allocate time for extra questions at the end of the course so I will stay back and answer questions and offer students up to 2 weeks after the end of the course to contact me for further clarifications. Students always go away with a bunch of references they can consult but they will be required to do some digging on their own. There is always a small treat in my classes!
Something unique
I am a very big fan of cricket. I have seen Steve Waugh score centuries in 3 different continents!
