About Daphne Lim
Daphne is a certified Associate Instructor of Japanese Pastel Nagomi Art and the founder of Art to Form, a creative initiative offering gentle, beginner-friendly workshops that invite participants to slow down, play with colour, and reconnect with their creativity. With a background in interior design, she brings a thoughtful, emotionally attuned approach to artmaking - one that celebrates softness, mindfulness, and expressive freedom. Her workshops are inclusive and calming, using pastel powders and fingertip techniques to create heartwarming artworks that feel meditative and intuitive.
After nearly a decade in the design industry, Daphne pivoted toward community-based creative facilitation, seeking a slower, more nourishing way to engage with art. She holds a Diploma in Pastel Nagomi Art (2025), awarded by the Japan Pastel Hope Art Association (JPHAA); an Advanced Diploma in Interior Design (2013) from TAFE Enmore; a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies (2003) from Murdoch University; and a Diploma in Interactive Design (2000). Daphne’s practice is grounded in accessibility and a deep belief in the power of art to restore inner calm and creative confidence.
