Fiona Fitzpatrick
Fiona is a practising artist and experienced educator with a deep belief in the power of creativity to support wellbeing, connection, and personal expression. She is passionate about helping people enhance their wellbeing through creative self-expression and sees artmaking as a powerful way to build community and foster a sense of belonging.
Fiona has worked with people of all ages and backgrounds, including many years as a tutor at the University of Sydney’s Centre for Continuing Education. Her work in art therapy has been recognised at a national level, with finalist nominations in both the NSW Health Awards and the St Vincent’s Health Australia Innovation and Excellence Awards.
At the Art Hive, Fiona creates a relaxed and informal space where students are encouraged to follow their own creative direction. She sees her role as a gentle guide and support—someone who helps others bring their creative ideas to life. Whether participants are completely new to art or returning to it after time away, they are welcomed into a space where curiosity, play, and experimentation are celebrated. No artistic background is needed—just a willingness to try.
