Different Strokes Swimming
Through her own experience of learning freestyle as an adult - Kari Baynes established Different Strokes Swimming, Sydney’s premier adult swim school. Focusing on skill development and progression - Kari and the Different Strokes Swimming team have helped over 600 people find joy in learning to swim!
Our instructors and coaches are passionate about swimming with a couple having performed at a national level here or overseas. The team comes with enormous experience, some having taught swimming for over 20 years.
The growing sport of ocean swimming has seen most of our team participate in events locally, interstate and abroad including, The Big Swim -Palm Beach to Whale (NSW), Rottnest Channel Swim (WA), Lake Argyle Swim (WA) and The Henley Classic (UK).
Kari is also on the board of Masters Swimming NSW and has participated in several events since 2012. In 2016, she competed in the state and national championships.
Whether you have no swimming ability or limited experience in the water, we’ll have you swimming in no time.
