Ready to take the next step after Introduction to Auslan 1? This Level 2 course is designed to help you expand your vocabulary, improve your fluency, and communicate more naturally using Auslan.

Taught by Deaf tutors, you’ll continue developing your skills in an authentic and engaging learning environment. You’ll move beyond basic signs and begin forming longer, more meaningful interactions, using visual-gestural communication with greater confidence and clarity.

Through interactive activities and practical exercises, you’ll strengthen your ability to understand and respond in conversations, while gaining deeper insight into Deaf culture, community, and communication norms.

Whether you’re continuing for personal interest, work, or community connection, this course will help you feel more confident engaging with Auslan in everyday situations.

• Using fingerspelling more confidently

This course is offered both online and face-to-face. Please check your selected class location when enrolling.

Face-to-face classes

Online classes

Delivered via Zoom, with weekly live sessions led by a Deaf tutor, supported by video resources for practice between classes. A laptop or desktop computer is recommended for the best learning experience.

Certificate of completion

Attendance recognition

Students who meet the attendance requirements will receive a Certificate of Attendance from Sydney Community College.

This certificate recognises your participation and commitment to learning Auslan and can support your personal or professional development.
