Taught by an ABIA bridal makeup artist of 2019 award winner, this makeup contour, highlights, blush & bronzer workshop is designed for both beginners & intermediate students of all age groups learning how to contour & highlight then completing the look with blush and bronzer – enhancing your features that best suit your face shape.

Students will learn how to contour & highlight successfully to a more professional level using simple and quick makeup tips and techniques personal guidance from a leading industry expert, Kerry Howell. Come take advantage of her expertise and let Kerry show you how to use your own makeup most effectively.

You will learn all the tricks of the trade to transform your look in minutes. Get direct advice on your own makeup form, which products are best for you and how to bring out your very best features.

Ideal for

Beginners and anyone thinking of becoming a makeup artist (this is a great introductory course to see if it’s right for you).

You will learn
  • To correct or enhance your face shape by using a combination of contouring and highlighting products that best suit your facial features, skin tone & age
  • Completing the look using bronzer & blush
  • Confidently going into makeup/retail stores & selecting contouring powders, highlight, blush & bronzer that best suit your own tone, features & texture.

Course content:

  • Hygiene – Basic steps to good makeup hygiene
  • Base – Applying the correct base to enable the best outcome for contouring/highlighting
  • Contouring – Correct or enhance your bone structure
  • Highlighting – Where to apply a highlight for a "natural glow"
  • Blush/bronzer –Where to apply blush & bronzer
  • Retail makeup purchasing – selecting makeup in makeup/retail stores that best suits your own skin tone, features & age
What to Bring:
  • Head band
  • Notepad and pen
  • Your own makeup bag & brushes ( if preferred, your tutor can supply brushes and makeup. However please bring these basics along – mascara, eye makeup remover and moisturiser)
  • Magnified mirror if required (small general focus mirrors will be provided)

Please note: If you would like to use false lashes these can be purchased directly from your tutor for a minimal cost

Materials for live online courses

Please start with foundation applied – and have handy these products before we start (if available):

  • Mirror
  • Contour powders
  • Highlight powders/creams
  • Blush powders/creams
  • Bronzers
  • Makeup brushes, face cleansers/makeup wipes/cotton tips

If you don’t have some of these products, don’t worry our teacher Kerry can also advise what best suits your skin type/age/the look you feel comfortable wearing & then advise where to source the appropriate products.
