Melissa Fitzgerald
Melissa started her career in the mid-90s working in both healthcare and mainstream advertising. She was taught by the highest standard of industry leaders to craft work on high profile brands including Nokia, Energy Australia, Optus, Daewoo, Gatorade and Hamilton Island.
Freelancing for more than four years Melissa worked in publishing, packaging and corporate design, eventually leading her to make a permanent move into the corporate space where she has worked on Westpac, Commonwealth Bank, AMP and more than 20 brands under the IOOF umbrella.
Writing and teaching courses at Sydney Community College has meant Melissa maintains a constant practice of design research and well as keeping her skills current for the benefit of her work practice and participants.
Melissa loves guiding others, whether they be designers, stakeholders, students, clients or other team members. With a passion for problem-solving, she aims to eliminate the unnecessary in order to create clear, clean, concise and well-crafted internal and external communications. As an advocate of skill-sharing, she loves collaborating in order to achieve premium results.
Speaking of her work, Melissa says ''I think and I make! I also like to have fun in the process!''
