Course description

Learn to make vegan honey, condiments, sauces and mayonnaise at this workshop in Sydney

We’re talking condiments that complement: these are your flavour friends! You’ll leave behind any notion that vegan food is bland after this flavor bomb of a cooking class – as you create a tasty toolkit that can be used to make any meal one to remember!

Don’t miss out on honey, honey! Learn to make a sweet runny vegan honey infused with sweet florals that’s just perfect on warm toast, to sweeten your tea or any recipe that you’d usually use honey for!

Stock your spice cabinet with some home-made, ready-to use spice blends just perfect for use as the building blocks for indian spiced dishes, fragrant mediterranean stews, spikey chilis and mexican dishes! You’ll get the low-down on where to get the best and freshest spices in town, how to get the best out of them and how to combine them to create amazing balanced spice mixes.

Want that tangy worcestershire sauce flavor without the anchovies? We recreated your umami fave vegan-style!

Sticky ribs? Tofu bacon? Something to dip hot chips in? Make a vegan BBQ sauce that’s perfect for any occasion!

Make magic vegan mayonnaise without the use of eggs but you’d never know by looking OR tasting!

Traditionally gravy is made with the juices left over from roasting meat; store bought vegan alternatives can be packed full of additives and frankly they’re quite bland! So we’ll whip up a plant based traditional style gravy that’ll level up any meal!

Maker Kitchen’s head chef Katie Rex will be on hand to answer any questions you might have about vegan cooking, walk you through the recipes as you get hands-on to create a whole pantry full of flavour friends!
