Course description

Have you ever wanted to record music for film, games, or music production? In this course, you’ll learn the basics of recroding multi track audio using the world’s most popular recording program, Pro Tools. You’ll learn the basics of of the interface and setting up a project as well as working with instruments and the voice. This is a hands on introduction to get you started in music production.

Who is this course for?

Anyone interested in recording music for film, song writing and composition or other mediums such as podcasting. There are no prerequisites or prior knowledge assumed, this course is for anyone looking for a basic introduction to sound recording.

  • Week 1: Interface, Projects, Importing Audio
  • Week 2: Recording live instruments & voice

Please come prepared with your own headphones and USB stick required so you can save your work. Sydney Community College can provide basic headphones but bringing your own good quality audio device is encouraged.
