Course description

Learn to speak German in Sydney with this Level 2 continuer’s class.

Whether you want to learn German language for business, travel or just for fun, you’ll take your skills to the next level with this informal, practical and interactive course in the Sydney CBD.

This Level 2 course will consolidate what you have learned and help you expand your vocabulary, grammar and understanding of the language. The course provides new situational topics to give you a wider vocabulary and plenty of speaking and listening practice.

This course is suitable for:
Students who have completed approximately 20 hours of previous learning in German, for example ‘German Level 1’.

Learning objectives

By the end of this German Level 2 Class, you will have learned how to:

  • describe your daily routine
  • ask for and give directions
  • talk about holidays
  • go shopping and request colours and sizes
  • express how you feel
  • communicate your health to a doctor
  • talk about the weather
  • create simple sentences and further build on the building blocks of basic grammar
  • write a social email, postcard or letter
  • speak more confidently with better pronunciation and extended vocabulary.

The curriculum may be adapted slightly to suit the needs of the class. The topics above will be covered during this course, but not necessarily in the order given.

Please note: sometimes a course start date is postponed until there are enough enrolments. It is therefore wise to purchase your textbook after your course has been confirmed (usually within three working days of the proposed start).
