Yoga Insights – An introduction to Yoga & sharing it with others

Ever wanted to know why you do what do on the mat? Curious about the health benefits of yoga? Would you like to get more of an understanding of yogic philosophies? Or simply wouldnt mind understanding Japanese Remedial Yoga and why it is a therapy? Ever thought about what it takes to be a yoga teacher? Ever felt like sharing your yoga with others but not sure how to do it safely?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this course is for you! In this short course you will be introduced to the Japanese 8-fold Yoga Postures & Asanas, delve into Yin and Yang, look at the relevance of yogic philosophies today and how to share yoga with others.
You will learn the Remedial Yoga beginners series of classes which includes therapeutic breathing techniques, dynamic postures and asanas that will help you and your family balance the mind, body and spirit.

This course includes the base level of how to teach a beginner (or someone new to this style) and how you can practice yoga with safety and confidence.

  • The Yin and Yang of Yoga
  • Yoga Health Philosophies Striving for optimal health
  • Dynamic meditation techniques
  • What makes us healthy vs What makes us sick
  • Beginner Two Class Strength & Vitality – Standing Postures

Week 3

  • Healing touch massage techniques
  • Yoga and the seasons
  • 5 Elements & Health
  • Beginners Three Class Healthy Stability

Week 4

  • What is Mind, Body, Spirit its not a religion, its science.
  • Healing with Food Natural Medicines
  • Trust the Yoga the bodys healing abilities
  • Yoga Adjustments and Variations
Please bring to class
  • Wear comfortable clothing – yoga is practiced barefoot, please wear fitted, stretchy, pants and Tshirt (loose clothes can get in the way!)
  • Bottle for drinking water and Keep Cup for tea
  • Towel
  • A small blanket for relaxation
  • Your own yoga mat.
  • Please note that yoga is best done on an empty stomach.
