Course description

Learn Hip Hop Dance for Beginners in Sydney.

A 45 min workout that incorporates 10 min of dance (as warmup) and then 30mins of 6 high energy dance moves with tabata timings. (20secs on and 10 secs break). Followed a 5 min stretch/cool down.

This workout is great for co-ordination, fitness and self confidence. Learn the basic moves of this modern dance style from an experienced instructor. You will get fit while covering the different styles of hip hop, from old school to new school. Each routine will be an original piece of choreography, set to the latest RnB, Funk and Hip Hop beats.

No experience of dance is necessary – this class is aimed at absolute beginners. Any level of fitness is acceptable – but get ready to sweat! Get your dance on and explore your inner JLo or Beyonce!

This course is ideal for those who hate exercise, who want to dance and burn calories and forget its exercise. And those who love hip hop but aren’t good at remembering choreography or don’t feel coordinated.

Course content
  • 10mins of dance warm up
  • 6 simple high energy dance moves – 4 min rounds (20 secs on/10 secs off)
  • Followed by 5min stretch/cooldown
  • Breaks in between and when needed.
Learning outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Develop your sense of rhythm
  • Learn basic dance moves (that you can bring to any club or party)
  • Confidence in moving your body
