Course description

Learn Bookbinding for Beginners in Sydney.

Learn how to make beautiful handmade books for either your own personal use as a journal, sketch-book or notebook; or give them as a much appreciated gift to a loved one. A perfect and unique present at any time of the year.

We have a series of unique Bookbinding Workshops available for you. This workshop focuses on the Coptic Stitch.

What makes this class extra special are the wood covers we shall be attaching, which we line in beautiful decorative paper before sewing. The simple design of exposed sewing across the backbone is very appealing.
It’s an ancient binding technique evolved around the fourth century and is one of the earliest forms of sewing pages together.
