Course description

Disability course Performance and Create

12 weeks two courses

First six weeks

The performing arts gives students the opportunity to express themselves and develop their own creativity through Composing music as a group, improvisation activities and creative movement. Participate in a range of fun and social drama, music, dance and performance activities designed to build up confidence and explore self-expression.

Second six weeks

This course will support students to work on a range of activities and with a variety of materials to experiment, make choices and develop creativity. A focus for this course is to support students to explore and choose themes to work with to direct the art-making process.

A must for anyone who enjoys the visual arts.

Course Objectives

By enrolling in the Access2Ed Class Courses the student will have the opportunity:

  • To participate in a range of drama, dance, music and performance workshops
  • To meet others and socialise in a supportive environment
  • To collaborate and contribute to group performance pieces
  • To work on a range of different projects
  • To develop creative ideas
  • Experiment with using a variety of art-making mediums
  • Develop creative ideas
  • Experiment with art-making

  • Closed-in shoes required
  • Please wear old clothes
  • Long hair must be tied back
  • Bring a healthy snack and water bottle
