Course description

A short course to increase your computer and digital technology skills alongside training in English. This course will help you to improve your English, learning and computer skills so you can pursue your education and work goals.

This training is funded by the NSW Government and is free for eligible applicants (see Training Services NSW)

Course content

The short course delivers part of the following qualification: Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways (FSK20113):

  • FSKWTG09 – Write Routine Workplace Information
  • FSKOCM07 – Interact Effectively at Work
  • FSKRDG10 – Read and Respond to Routine Workplace Information
  • FSKLRG04 – Use Routine Strategies for Work-related Learning
  • FSKDIG02 – Use Digital technology for Routine Workplace Tasks
Course location

The course is typically offered in the following locations:

  • Canterbury City Community Center in Lakemba
  • CORE Community Services in Cabramatta or Fairfield

Classes start in February/March and June/July 2019

Eligibility criteria

This training is funded by the NSW Government and is free for eligible applicants (see Training Services NSW).

It is free to those who meet the eligibility requirements below:

  • you are 15 years or older and have left school
  • you live and work in NSW
  • you are an Australian or New Zealand citizen; permanent resident; humanitarian visa or eligible bridging visa holder
  • you have (or be willing to get) a Unique Student Identifier (www.usi.gov.au).
  • you receive eligible Centrelink benefits or meet other eligibility criteria (see Training Services NSW)
  • you are not taking another government-funded course at the same time as this course

  • Australian passport or citizenship document or foreign passport and visa documents or travel document or Immicard
  • Medicare card
  • Centrelink Income Summary Statement with your benefits clearly stated
