Course description

Learn Indoor climbing for advanced in Sydney.

The Indoor Climbing Continuing course covers advanced climbing techniques and includes a training program and equipment hire. Students will be shown new ways to advance, challenge and strategise their climbs. A great endurance sport of the body and mind.

If you enjoyed the Indoor Climbing for Beginners course and want to improve your skills or have some climbing experience and want to go to the next level, this is for you.

Students must have completed Indoor Climbing for Beginners course or equivalent.

Students have the option of choosing from two venues:

1. Sydney Indoor Climbing Gym - St Peters
or
2. The Ledge Climbing Centre - University of Sydney, Camperdown

Course content

During this course the intention is that the following topics will be covered, but not necessarily in the order given.

  • Perform warm up and stretching exercises
  • Learn the various climbing techniques – eg. slab, traversing, bouldering, steep climbing
  • Practice the techniques
Outcomes

By the end of this course you will have:

  • learned how to warm up and stretch correctly
  • learned various climbing skills and techniques
  • applied skills and techniques in climbing exercises
Other information
  • Participants must be 18 years or over
  • Please wear track pants or shorts and T-shirt
