Get on the dance floor quick with these two easy dances styles. For all ages and all genders, no partners necessary. RocknRoll is the dance of the 1950’s. What’s old is now NEW!! Retro and Vintage is in and is spreading like wildfire. Join the many that enjoy this dancing and the lifestyle. Please note the venue is airconditioned.

In this course you will gain confidence, obtain rhythm, learn a series of steps and have a routine accomplished by the end of four weeks. Gain co-ordination and fitness as well as pure joy and fun with the music and people they meet.

The intended Learning Outcomes for this course are as follows. By the end of the course, students will have:

  • Learned rhythm and timing
  • Learned the frame and steps
  • Completed a short rocknroll routine

Other Information

Be sure to dress in comfortable clothing and comfortable shoes with smooth soles that enable you to move around the floor without sticking. We ask the ladies to wear flat shoes during classes. Please bring water for hydration.

Whilst the dance class is low impact, we still request you bring to the tutor’s attention, health-related issues or challenges that may affect your safety in relation to weak knees or hips.

All dance classes are active and therefore you must bring to the attention of the tutor any physical or health-related impairment that may affect your safety.

For all courses involving physical activity you must arrive by the published course commencement time or the tutor may refuse to admit you into the session. The agenda for many courses involving physical activity starts with an OH&S briefing and/or a warm up and to miss either may create a hazard to you, which might exclude you from participation for the session.

Avoid disappointment. Enrol early.
