In this Saxophone for Beginners Level 2 course, you will extend your knowledge of how to play the Saxophone, of reading music, basic theory and playing in tune and in time.

Have fun as you gain a greater enthusiasm for music through this relaxed course while extending your knowledge of Saxophone playing and the enjoyment of playing music in a group.

This class is a wind instrument class that includes instruments such as flute, clarinet, saxophone and trumpet. It provides the benefit of learning from the start how to play in a group as well as to train your ear to play in tune with other instruments.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this saxophone course, you will:

  • have become proficient at playing the saxophone at a beginner’s level 2
  • be able to read music at a beginner’s level 2 which includes 5 extra notes as well as basic knowledge of sharps and flats
  • extend your knowledge of rhythmic notation which includes eighth notes, plus 2/4 and 3/4 time, and dotted half notes, as well as some musical symbols
  • have experienced an even greater variety of musical genres.
