We'll also explore different types of lenses and their uses, such as wide-angle, telephoto, and zoom lenses.   • Understand the interrelation between lens focal length, point of view, and composition.
  • Select the appropriate lens and focal length for different shooting scenarios.
  • Distinguish between different types of lenses, such as wide-angle and fish-eye lenses.
  • Knowledge of the impact of vertical and horizontal orientation on photos.
  • Properly set up their camera using camera ratios and framing techniques.

Course Content

What will be covered in this photography course?

  • The first field trip begins at the edge of Barangaroo Reserve, where participants will progress through several Agenda modules and explore the Stargazer Lawn and Barangaroo Wharf precinct.
  • The second field trip takes place at Camp Cove, with a stunning backdrop of Sydney Harbour and South Head. Participants will photograph the Lighthouse Keepers’ Cottage and Hornby Lighthouse, with guidance from Neoklis on when to use certain lenses and focal lengths for optimal results.
  • The final field trip takes place at the magnificent Sydney Opera House. Neoklis will teach participants how to use their new lens skills and knowledge to create powerful storytelling images of the Opera House.

This Photography Course is designed for anyone who has completed a beginner-level photography course or has a working knowledge of camera controls, shutter speeds, apertures, and ISO. This course is suitable for students at the intermediate and advanced levels, as well as those who have a thorough understanding of these concepts.
