Learn the art of preparing authentic Indian curries at this workshop in Sydney

Warm up this winter and be inspired by the wonderful world of Indian cooking. You will learn to mix your own spices and prepare both wet and dry marinades to create a delicious menu of curries and accompaniments. You will then sit down and enjoy this feast with cold craft beer! What a lovely way to spend a Sunday…

On the menu
  • Parupu Vadei – delicious fried spiced lentil balls
  • Bombay Lamb Curry
  • Prawn Masala
  • Dahl – using the wonderful aromatic spice Panch Pore
  • Chapati – made from scratch using stone ground wheat flour
  • Raita
About the presenter

You’re in for an engaging class full of fantastic flavours, complex aromas and inspiring tales brought to you by the Goddess of Flavours and Spice herself, Wanitha Tanasingam. Growing up in Penang, Wanitha moved to Australia in 1982. She learned the art of cooking from her father, who he was the Head Chef of the Kedah Royal Family in Malaysia. Wanitha later started her own restaurant and cooking school. With her engaging personality, her positive energy and her incredible knowledge of food Wanitha will introduce you to the magic world of Indian spices.
