Course description

Learn to speak Japanese in Sydney with this Level 4 continuer’s class.

Whether you want to learn Japanese language for business, travel or just for fun, you’ll take your skills to the next level with this informal, practical and interactive course in the Sydney CBD.

This advanced continuers course will consolidate what you have learned and help you further expand your vocabulary, grammar and understanding of Japanese spoken and written language. The course provides new situational topics to give you a wider vocabulary and plenty of speaking and listening practice.

This course is suitable for:

Students who have completed approximately 60 hours of previous learning in Japanese, for example ‘Japanese Level 1’, ‘Level 2’ and ‘Level 3’.

Learning objectives

By the end of this course, you will have:

  • better fluency in conversation, speaking with more confidence, better pronunciation and extended vocabulary
  • developed your techniques and skills in exchanging views and solving problems using Japanese conversational etiquette
  • increased your knowledge of various idioms and expressions
  • developed and practised reading and writing skills
  • expanded your understanding of Japanese culture and customs.

The curriculum may be adapted slightly to suit the needs of the class. The topics above will be covered during this course, but not necessarily in the order given.
