Learn to speak Thai in Sydney with this Level 3 continuer’s class.

Whether you want to learn Thai language for business, travel or just for fun, you’ll take your skills even further with this informal, practical and interactive course in the Sydney CBD.

This Level 3 course will help you extend your developing Thai language skills. You will develop your fluency in conversational skills in a range of contexts, and build your vocabulary to allow you greater experience and appreciation of the Thai culture and its people. This course will extend your understanding of the written script and give opportunities to further practise and develop your skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing.

This course is suitable for:
Students who have completed approximately 40 hours of previous learning, for example ‘Thai Level 1’ and ‘Thai Level 2’ or equivalent.

Learning objectives

By the end of this course you will have learned how to:

  • have a more extensive vocabulary content
  • write Thai consonants, vowels and tone
  • apply the rules of final consonants
  • apply the rules of vowels that change their forms
  • read and write simple sentences
  • have better fluency in their conversation
  • read and write basic Thai words and create simple sentences
  • speak more confidently with correct pronunciation and extended vocabulary topic based conversations and discussions
  • acquire an enhanced knowledge of the country, its culture and custom.

The textbook costs approximately $72, and includes downloadable audio files. Used with classroom teaching, the book provides a basic foundation in conversational Standard Thai, using real life daily topics.
