You’ll come away with your own flavoured creation in a 300ml bottle of Kombucha ready for the second fermentation, a 750ml jar full of the good stuff, along with a Symbiotic Culture of Bacterial Yeast (SCOB) and a 750ml jar of apple cider vinegar, with notes to complete them at home.
Course content
What will be covered in this kombucha & apple cider vinegar course?
- Safe brewing techniques and sterilisation
- The two fermentation methods: batch and continuous
- Making your first batch
- The first stage of fermenting - know when it's ready to harvest
- The second stage of fermenting - tailor to your needs or just for taste
- Creating a fizz (and avoiding explosions)
- Care for the SCOBY - maintaining and storing
- Storing bottled Kombucha
Please Note: This how to make Kombucha and Apple Cider Vinegar course uses tea, sugar (that gets consumed during the fermentation), SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture Of Bacteria and Yeast) and a range of seasonal fruits/vegetable ingredients. We are not able to provide substitute ingredients for people with allergies.
