Learn how to make authentic fresh gluten-free pasta at this cooking workshop in Sydney.

Homemade fresh pasta is a very special thing - and should be able to be enjoyed by everyone. But if you're gluten intolerant, or have dietary restrictions, you no longer need to miss out!

Join this workshop to learn how to make authentic, fresh gluten-free pasta from scratch. You'll witness the magic as cooking teacher and chef Antonella Floyd demonstrates how to make the perfect GF pasta dough.

Then roll up your sleeves and get busy kneading, rolling and shaping your own pasta. Antonella will demonstrate two sauces, talk about the ingredients used and provide plenty of tips along the way.

And let's not forget the part where you tuck in at the end of the class! We gather around the table Italian style to enjoy your freshly made pasta with the accompanying sauces. Pass the Parmesan, please!

Learning outcomes

After this course, you should have learned:

  • about traditional pasta and its uses
  • what happens when gluten is excluded from regular recipes, and alternative ingredients to use
  • how to make your own gluten-free pasta dough
  • how to prepare fresh pasta and accompanying sauces

Hand-crank pasta machines are provided (one per 2 participants). Or you may bring your own machine for tips on how to use and care for it.

This course is suitable for beginner cooks, as well as those with some cooking experience.

Rozelle Campus

Rozelle Campus, corner of Gordon St & Victoria Rd, Rozelle (in the grounds of St. Joseph’s Church). If driving, no entry into Gordon Street from Victoria Road. Last block on your right before Victoria Road. Pedestrian access is opposite Prince Street. 

Additional information

  • We've cut out disposable plastics, so please bring 1-2 food containers to take any leftovers home
  • All participants must wear closed-in shoes
  • Dress appropriately for the kitchen, and tie back long hair

Accessibility: Please note there is no level access to the room for this class. Access is via approx. 20 steps.
Allergies: Ingredients include: whole egg, gluten-free flour, pork and dairy
