Assessments are made against units of competency from the Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pays (FSK20113).
This course is funded by the NSW Government and is free to eligible applicants (see www.training.nsw.gov.au/ace)
Course content
5 accredited units and 1 nonaccredited unit (Vocational Pathways)
Accredited units are:
- FSKWTG09 Write routine workplace texts
- FSKLRG11 Use routine strategies for work-related learning
- FSKRDG10 Read and respond to routine workplace information
- FSKOCM07 Interact effectively with others at work
- FSKLRG09 Use strategies to respond to routine workplace problems
Course Location
The course is offered in two locations as follows:
Canterbury City Community Centre “Cottage” - 28 Croydon Street, Lakemba. Classes starting in February/March and June/July 2019
CORE Community Services at the corner of Railway Parade and McBurney Rd in Cabramatta. Classes starting February/March and June/July 2019
Eligibility Criteria
This course is funded by the NSW Government’s State Training Service, ACE Community Service Obligation, Targeted Communities ( www.training.nsw.gov.au/ace). It is FREE to people to those who meet the eligibility requirements below:
- are 15 years or older and have left school
- live and work in NSW
- are an Australian or New Zealand citizen; permanent resident; humanitarian visa or eligible bridging visa holder
- have (or are willing to get) a Unique Student Identifier (www.usi.gov.au)
- receive eligible Centrelink benefits or experience barriers to training
- are not currently in receipt of other Government funded training
