Felt Making Course for Beginners

What you'll learn

Learn felt making with our handcrafts & textiles short courses in Sydney!

In this Felt Making course in Sydney, you will learn how to turn loose wool fibres into a felted fabric, a truly unique process. Handmade felt is an ancient textile craft using the traditional techniques of wet felting to create a non-woven, durable and sturdy fabric. Felting with merino wool fibres has many applications - from flat felt and scarves to three-dimensional vessels and homewares, as well as bags, hats or slippers. Felt making is fun, whether you're making 3D and wall hanging artworks, gifts for family, decorating rooms.

Our teacher will give you all the tips you need to learn how to make a three-dimensional seamless object. Be amazed by what can be produced with wool fibres, water, soap and agitation - the process is simply magic. You will leave with a completed project at the end of the session. Take on a new skill and express yourself creatively with this fantastic craft.
