Cooking: Korean Banquet

View Classes

Learn how to prepare authentic Korean cuisine at this workshop with our cooking courses in Sydney.

Korean food is having its moment as one of the biggest Asian food trends of the past few years and looks to be carving out a permanent place in Australia’s eclectic cuisine.

This class is hands-on where the group will work towards creating a fabulous Korean Banquet. You will make a delicious Korean fried chicken, two classic Korean barbecue dishes (Bulgogi and Samyeopsai) and all the pickled vegetables and sauces you will need to complete the full dining experience.

The course will end with a sit-down meal of the feast you have created and an icy cold Korean Pale Lager (or wine if you prefer!)

Course content

  • Yangnyeon – crispy Fried Chicken with a sticky spicy sauce
  • Seolleongtang Oxtail Soup – a flavoursome traditionally hot soup
  • Samgyeopsai Pork Strip – deliciously seasoned grilled pork wrapped in lettuce with garlic, onions and kimchi
  • Bulgogi – beef marinated and grilled, a must have on any Korean menu
  • Shishito pepper – pickled and eaten whole!
  • Oi Muchim – spicy Cucumber Salad
  • Sakju Namul – seasoned bean sprouts

...All served with Korean rice
