Retirement planning course in Sydney.

Find out about the current superannuation climate and what you might expect going forward.

This seminar will provide you with independent advice on retirement planning and how best to maximise your income and minimise your tax during retirement. Topics covered include superannuation, planning for retirement and allocated pensions.

Course content
  • Retirement Planning:

How to structure your investments, what investments you can use, what tax you may pay and how best to determine your cash-flow needs.

  • Superannuation:
Allowable contributions and pension limits, the current taxes that you may pay and strategies to accumulate.

By the end of this seminar you will have a better understanding of:

  • the changing pension rules and legislation affecting retirement planning
  • the different financial products available and how best to maximise your income at retirement
  • how to determine what your day to day living expenses will be in retirement
  • the basic rules governing superannuation and the different structures available for your retirement nest egg
  • how best to accumulate funds in superannuation and what products are available for retirees.
About your tutor

John Livas has worked for many years banking industry, culminating as a financial planner for the Advance Bank and subsequently St George Bank for five years. In 2000 John began work in the newly created ERY Financial Planning, a division of Emerson Randell Young.

As partner and director of ERY Financial Planning, John has also been an Authorised Representative of Professional Investment Services Pty Ltd (PIS) since 2000. PIS commenced operations on 6 August 1996.

John holds qualifications in a postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning (DFP) and has worked as an adviser in the finance and insurance industry since 1995. He’s also an associate member of the Financial Planning Association since 1998.
