Course description

Learn 3D printing in Sydney.

3D printing is revolutionising DIY design and manufacturing.
In this introductory workshop you will find out how to turn your ideas into 3D objects for use in your business and your home.

In this class you will get hands-on experience running 3D printers, design a number of things for yourself including a creative name plaque, your own special and unique cutters for your cookies or a personal jewellery piece. To complete the projects you will also be exposed to a number of different free CAD design tools and be able to use them at various levels. Me3D has taught 3D printing at all education levels from primary school to post post graduate studies and has an emphasis on simple tools to get you engaged and learning quickly. The design software we use in class for this is Tinkercad because it is free and web-based (so no installation needed).

No prior design or manufacturing knowledge is required.

With 3D printing you can create amazing objects and it can have a positive effect on environmental sustainability and creative problem solving.

  • DIY – fix or modify household utensils
