Course description

Learn Advanced Tennis in Sydney.

Each class is 2 hours in duration. players are coached with other players of a similar skill level and assigned their own dedicated tennis professional and court. If you want to learn or improve your game then these classes are perfect for you.

With highly-qualified, home-grown and overseas teaching professionals on duty you will be challenged in the latest on-court techniques, drills and approaches from around the world.

Advanced Classes are ideal for adults who are playing in competitions/tournaments and wanting to improve their match fitness and really hone their technique:

  • Participate and practice with intensity in rapid fire tennis drills and squad-based activities.
  • Learn & practice master techniques like kicker and side spin serving, grip pressure, stroke modifications & customisation for all tennis strokes.
  • Learn detailed strategy and point construction within rally drills.
  • Apply offensive and defensive footwork techniques.
  • Execute as you envision responses with a purpose; extend your tactics on return of serve.

During your course the intention is that the above topics will be covered but not necessarily in the order given. Due to the flexible nature of Adult classes, parts of the course outline may be adapted to suit the needs of the class.

Additional Course Information
  • If you are worried the weather may cancel the class from going ahead, be aware that if it is cancelled you will receive an SMS at least an hour before. If you don’t receive that SMS, then your class will be going ahead. Classes washed out will be made up on the same day and time a week later, subject to availability.
  • Attendance must be across consecutive weeks on the same day and session time each week. Once a booking has been confirmed, no-shows or cancellations void the class and no rescheduling is allowed.
  • Class sizes range from four to six players.
  • Bring your own racquet if you have one, or use one of our school’s racquets for free. New tennis racquets are always available at our venues for purchase at affordable prices.
  • Wear comfortable clothing of any colour and sports or running shoes. Bring a water bottle and a hat for day time classes. If you need to change clothes the coaches on duty will direct you where you can do so. You can bring your bag onto the court.
  • Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your class start time if you are visiting us for the first time. If you have visited us before get there 5 minutes prior.
  • Please ensure that you have given a valid email and mobile number when you enrol as all course changes will be communicated via sms or email. Avoid disappointment, enrol early.
